Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sushi Chef to join our team at our renowned restaurant. As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality sushi dishes to our customers. If you have a passion for culinary arts and enjoy creating delicious and visually appealing sushi, we would love to hear from you.
Duties:
- Prepare and present a variety of sushi dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure the quality and freshness of ingredients used in sushi preparation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station and kitchen area
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations and timely service
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines during food preparation and storage
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for sushi ingredients as needed
- Train and mentor junior sushi chefs, as required
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar role in a reputable restaurant or culinary establishment
- In-depth knowledge of sushi preparation techniques, including cutting, rolling, and presentation
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen
- Excellent knife skills and ability to handle various types of fish and seafood
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Creativity in designing new sushi rolls and incorporating unique flavors
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with the kitchen team

Pay: 12.42-15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38 - 60 per week
