Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. Duties

Prepare and present a variety of sushi dishes, including nigiri, sashimi, and maki rolls, with precision and creativity. Ensure all food preparation meets the highest standards of quality and presentation. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and timely service. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock. Adhere to all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Stay updated on culinary trends and techniques related to sushi and Japanese cuisine.

Experience

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment. Previous experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role is highly desirable. Strong culinary skills with an emphasis on meal preparation and presentation. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential. Restaurant experience with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment is preferred. Excellent attention to detail, creativity, and passion for culinary arts.
