As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality sushi dishes that delight our customers while adhering to food safety standards and maintaining a clean kitchen environment.
Duties
Prepare and present sushi dishes with precision and attention to detail
Ensure all ingredients are fresh and of the highest quality
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area
Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all customers
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service
Assist in menu planning and development, bringing innovative ideas for new sushi creations
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in sushi preparation techniques
Qualifications
Proven experience in food preparation, particularly in sushi or Japanese cuisine
Strong culinary skills with a passion for cooking and meal preparation
Previous kitchen experience is essential; restaurant experience is highly desirable
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
Excellent attention to detail and presentation skills
Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
