Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and proactive Shop Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting with daily shop operations, and ensuring a welcoming environment for all visitors. This role offers an opportunity to develop valuable communication skills and gain experience in retail or customer service settings. Fluency in multiple languages is highly desirable to better serve our diverse clientele.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist them with their enquiries Provide information about products and services offered in the shop Maintain a clean and organised shop environment Restock shelves and ensure products are correctly labelled Handle transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system Assist with inventory management and stock checks Support team members in daily operational tasks Communicate effectively with customers in English and Spanish (or other relevant languages) as needed

Requirements

Excellent communication skills Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanour Ability to work well within a team and independently when required Organised, reliable, and attentive to detail Previous experience in retail or customer service is advantageous but not essential Multilingual skills are considered a significant asset to enhance customer interactions
This position offers an engaging work environment where you can develop your interpersonal skills while contributing to a positive shopping experience for our customers. The days of work are Saturday and Sunday 10am-4pm - with extra hours in the school holidays.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 10.00-12.21 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 12 per week
