Responsibilities

Assist in food preparation, ensuring all dishes are prepared according to established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations. Support serving staff during busy periods, including taking orders and serving food to guests. Engage with customers to enhance their dining experience through effective upselling techniques. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of meals and efficient workflow. Perform basic math calculations for portioning ingredients and managing inventory. Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and reporting any shortages. Demonstrate excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during peak hours.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred. Knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques is essential. Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure. Basic math skills for handling orders and inventory management. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members and customers. A proactive attitude towards learning new skills in food preparation and service. Experience in upselling products or services would be advantageous but not mandatory.
