Brief Description

We are looking for a Talent, Learning & Development Advisor for a Fixed term opportunity (full time) based in Milton Keynes. Managing the scheduling and operational delivery of key national coaching and development initiatives, allowing Regions and Functions across NR to effectively identify, develop and utilise talent. Creating and promoting talent management cycles and key dates/plans, including updating and managing processes to support efficient/effective access to national coaching and development programmes.

About the role (External)

This is an exciting time to join the Talent team, as the demand for our service grows across the business. You will have the opportunity to use your innovation and efficiency to deliver talent interventions including our National Coaching and Mentoring programme, Accelerated Leaders Programme and other talent development programmes.

You will be skilled in using data to drive decisions on talent programmes such as 360-degree-feedback and advise stakeholders on the best course of action based on these insights.

Your ability to build collaborative working relationships will help you co-ordinate our annual assessment process for high potential individuals, this will include working with business assessors and the talent team to ensure the efficient delivery of assessment centres in tight timeframes. Your collaborative skills will also help you meet the needs of internal stakeholders and work alongside external suppliers to ensure we meet our KPIs and service level agreements.

There are lots of opportunities for you to make your mark and you will have the ability to shape our evaluation strategy for each of our development initiatives to ensure they meet the needs of stakeholders and contribute to our overall strategy.

Effective communication and engagement of our development initiatives is fundamental to delivering our talent strategy and you will be instrumental in working with our communications colleagues to plan and create collateral, raising the visibility of our initiatives and increasing access to for all.

What essential skills and experiences are required?

You will ideally have a background in Talent or Learning and Development in a complex organisation, supported by a CIPD qualification to demonstrate your experience of managing development initiatives and understanding of best practice in this area. You will also be experienced in creating evaluation processes to measure the return of investment for our development initiatives.

Collaboration skills are essential in this role, as you will need to work with established stakeholders and proactively seek to build relationships with new stakeholders to deliver our services.

With a balance of face to face and virtual activities your ability to work and deliver virtually, with customer service at the heart of everything you do, will be vital as this will ensure the effective management of virtual assessment and development programmes for large numbers of people.

Your exceptional project management skills will ensure that you are able to work across the talent team on multiple timebound projects, and your stakeholder management skills will ensure their needs are met in a timely manner as well.
