Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality and a flair for food preparation, bringing creativity and leadership to our kitchen. As a Chef, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of food production and presentation, while also managing and supervising kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and adherence to health and safety regulations. Prepare and present high-quality dishes in accordance with the restaurant's menu and standards. Lead and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a collaborative team environment. Develop new recipes and menu items, incorporating seasonal ingredients and culinary trends. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock. Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, maintaining a safe working environment for all staff. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery during busy periods.

Skills

Proven experience in a Chef role within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively. Excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary practices. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong organisational skills with the capability to multitask effectively. Passion for food production with an understanding of current culinary trends. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with team members and management.
