We are seeking a skilled and passionate

Tandoor Chef

to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working with traditional tandoor techniques and Indian cuisine, delivering consistently high-quality dishes. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking items using the tandoor, maintaining excellence in taste, texture, and presentation. This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in their craft, works well under pressure, and contributes to a high-performing kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare, cook, and execute all tandoor dishes to a consistently high standard Manage the tandoor section, ensuring smooth and efficient service during peak hours Maintain the tandoor oven, ensuring correct temperature control and safe operation Marinate meats and prepare doughs, breads, kebabs, and other tandoor specialties Work closely with the Head Chef to develop and refine menu items Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with hygiene and safety standards Monitor stock levels for the tandoor section and communicate supply needs promptly Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic work area at all times Train junior staff in tandoor preparation techniques and safe handling Support the wider kitchen team when required to ensure smooth service

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Tandoor Chef or in a similar role within an Indian restaurant Strong knowledge of tandoor cooking methods, marination techniques, and traditional Indian flavours Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment Understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations Good organisational and time-management skills Strong teamwork and communication abilities Passion for authentic Indian cuisine and commitment to delivering exceptional dishes
