Responsibilities and Duties



Following the recipe and presentation instructions from the head chef. Preparing meals based on customer preferences. Ensure our customers receive a unique taste of tandoori dishes Cooking tandoori Dishes like Tikka, Shashlik etc from raw ingredients. Preparing the order for tandoori stock and informing the head chef Following all food safety and hygiene standards. Assisting other chefs on food preparation and cleaning. Prepare and cook a variety of tandoori dishes, including naan, kebabs, tandoori chicken, fish, and lamb, using traditional recipes and house specialties. Marinate meats and vegetables with appropriate spices and seasonings for tandoori preparation. Skillfully operate the tandoor oven, controlling heat levels for optimal cooking results. Present dishes attractively, ensuring consistency and high quality in both appearance and taste. Maintain high standards of food quality and consistency, ensuring dishes meet the restaurant's standards. Monitor ingredient freshness and assist in stock rotation. Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation protocols in the kitchen. Regularly clean work areas, tools, and equipment, especially the tandoor oven. Collaborate with the head chef to develop and introduce new tandoori dishes and specials. Experiment with marinades, spices, and cooking techniques to enhance the tandoori menu. Assist with inventory management for spices, ingredients, and other tandoori supplies. Communicate with management about low stock and assist in ordering ingredients as needed. Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure timely, accurate orders and a smooth kitchen workflow. Adapt dishes to meet customer preferences or dietary needs, ensuring a positive dining experience.
Skills:

Strong knowledge of Indian spices, tandoori marinades, and cooking styles. Good understanding of food hygiene and safety standards (Food Safety Certification preferred). Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment and as part of a team. Strong time management and organizational skills.
Experience : minimum 3 year (preferred)
