Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Tea Room Assistant to join us in our Plant Based Tea Rooms on the outskirts of York. This role involves supporting front of house duties, in addition to preparing drinks and serving food to customers. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience working in the hospitality industry, as well as being organised, efficient, and possess a strong understanding of food safety. We are a plant based tea rooms and it would be desirable for the ideal candidate to have a strong understanding of our ethics and values.

Responsibilities

Assist with front of house duties, including preparing and serving food and drinks Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are maintained at all times Adhere to health and safety regulations during all tasks to prevent accidents or contamination

Qualifications

Previous experience in hospitality, food preparation, or restaurant environment is essential Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team Experience with meal preparation, cooking, or barista duties is beneficial Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 10.00-12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 24 per week
