Key Responsibilities:



Support teachers in delivering

inclusive, autism-friendly lessons

tailored to individual learning profiles. Help pupils with autism engage in classroom activities, build confidence, and make academic progress. Promote positive behaviour and contribute to a

calm, structured learning environment

. Lead and assist in sensory, social, and developmental activities suited to pupils' needs. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to monitor and support pupil progress. Prepare learning materials and maintain a safe, organised classroom. Provide personal care support when required, always with dignity and sensitivity.

Uphold safeguarding responsibilities

, ensuring the welfare of children and compliance with school policies on child protection.

Hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate

registered on the Update Service, in line with safeguarding requirements.

Ideal Candidate:



Experience working with children or adults with autism or SEND is desirable. We welcome applicants from

non-educational backgrounds

such as support work, care, youth mentoring, or coaching. Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for supporting neurodiverse children. Understanding of autism strategies such as TEACCH, PECS, or sensory integration is a plus. Empathetic, patient, and proactive team player.
