compassionate and experienced Teaching Assistants

to support pupils with

Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)

across a range of

primary and secondary schools in the Wirral

. This role is ideal for individuals who have worked in specialist education settings or have supported autistic individuals through roles in care, nursing, youth work, or similar fields.

Role Overview

Provide tailored support to pupils with Autism, helping them access learning and develop key life skills. Work closely with teaching staff to create inclusive, structured classroom environments. Implement and support

Individual Education Plans (IEPs)

and behaviour strategies. Encourage social interaction and emotional regulation through targeted interventions. Support pupils in developing independence and confidence in school settings.

Candidate Profile

Experience supporting children or adults with Autism is essential. Backgrounds in education, care, support work, or health services are welcome. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and a calm approach to behaviour that may challenge. Relevant qualifications in

SEND

, Autism awareness, or child development are beneficial but not mandatory.
