This is a great opportunity to join our highly skilled and dedicated team of Early Years Practitioners.
Our school vision statement of 'Being the best we can be for ourselves, for others and for God's world' is woven through all aspects of school life, where opportunities for children are maximised, staff wellbeing and development are prioritised and nurturing relationships provide a safe space within which to learn and grow. We want to appoint staff who share our Christian ethos, are passionate about learning and understand the importance that relationships play in creating a safe, secure and inspirational learning environment.
We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant into our Early Years team to start as soon as possible. This role is to support our youngest children to settle into routines, develop their physical and social skills and to grasp the basics of learning with the Early Years Framework.
Experience of working with very young children or supporting children with additional needs would be desirable but not essential as training and support will be offered as part of induction.
Our Teaching Assistants are also required to take on half an hour's mealtime assistant duties each day as we believe it is good to have adults who know the children well supporting them to have safe and happy lunchtimes.
To apply for this role please submit your application online; your supporting statement should outline your suitability for the post.
The closing date for applications is 12 noon on Tuesday 2nd September 2025, interviews will be held on Tuesday 9th September 2025.
All shortlisted applicants will be subject to an online search.
The Harbour Schools Partnership require all applicants to be eligible to work in the UK with no restrictions, as we are unable to offer sponsorship/work visas. You will be required to provide proof of Right to Work at interview stage.
Our school is a member of Ventrus, a group of Devon schools that actively collaborate to improve children's outcomes. As a Trust, Ventrus offers excellent career and development opportunities.
Ventrus is an equal opportunities employer, committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. We expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment and an enhanced disclosure is required for this post.
