About The Role

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: Full Time, 35 Hours Per Week, 8:30am until 4:00pm, with half an hour unpaid lunch, Monday to Friday. Term Time Only 39 weeks per year

Number of positions: 1

Qualifications Required: Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools. Numeracy/Literacy/ICT Skills (at a level equivalent to NQF Level 2)

Start Date: 3rd November 2025

Salary: Grade 3 - 25,185 - 25,989 Full Time Equivalent. Salary to be pro-rata'd for Term Time Only Working

About the Candidate

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic practitioner to join our committed team.

The role will focus on working as part of the SEND team to support individuals and small groups.

We are looking for someone who is dedicated, always keen to learn and develop and can show a positive commitment to the children in our school.

Ideally we are looking for someone who:

Has experience of working with children with severe learning difficulties Has a passion for providing enjoyable play/sensory based learning opportunities Has experience of implementing effective support strategies for nonverbal pupils Has the skills set to implement a total communication approach with children Has an understanding of how to effectively support pupils with autism Has experience of engaging with and implementing Educational Health and Care Plans Is a strong communicator with adults and children Is creative, reliable and hardworking Has the skills to work independently and collectively Is proactive and solution focused Has a patient and nurturing approach to supporting children Has a passion in working with families as partners
