Our Teaching Innovation Coaches form part of our Excellence & Innovation Team. This is a pivotal role where you will influence teaching quality across the college, support staff to continually improve their practice, embed innovative teaching strategies, and drive excellence across our curriculum.

Your duties
You will:

• Coach and mentor teaching staff to enhance lesson planning, delivery, assessment, and learner engagement
• Conduct lesson observations, learning walks and coaching walks, providing constructive feedback and clear action plans
• Design and deliver high-quality CPD, workshops and teaching qualifications for staff
• Champion innovative pedagogies, including blended learning, digital tools, gamification and emerging technologies
• Support inclusive teaching practices that meet diverse learner needs, including SEND
• Contribute to quality assurance activity, self-assessment and continuous improvement planning
• Work collaboratively across departments to share best practice and raise standards college-wide

Person specification
The successful candidate's knowledge, skills, experience, abilities and qualities will include:

• A degree and relevant teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, QTLS, or equivalent)
• Proven experience in teaching, coaching, or mentoring within Further or Higher Education
• A strong understanding of student engagement, differentiation, and inclusive teaching practices
• An in depth understanding of quality assurance processes
• Excellent IT skills including good working knowledge of databases, excel and word
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
