Requirements



Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Compassion, patience and resilience.

Valid and full driving licence for manual transmission.

Enhanced Disclosure and Barring service check (DBS). Hold a recognised

NVQ 3 or QCF

diploma in '

Working with Children and Young People in Residential Care*', or equivalent qualification.
Flexibility to work days and nights. A 'Can Do' attitude.

Key Responsibilities



Work alongside the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager to provide support and care to young people in a residential setting, ensuring their safety and well-being. Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Maintain effective communication with children, families, and team members to foster a supportive environment. Drive young person to appointments and activities as needed, adhering to safety regulations. Utilise IT skills for documentation and reporting purposes, ensuring accurate record-keeping. Demonstrate emotional resilience to respond to the challenging nature of the role. Participant in all mandatory training including safety intervention, medication administration and e-learning. Lead and support the wider staff team of Residential Support Workers. Ensure the whole team comply with the Statement of Purpose.

About The Service



Newly renovated house located in the Kenton area of Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Plenty of space for activities; a play room, as well as a staff office/room to complete necessary documentation. We encourage the staffing team to ensure the young person feels at home by decorating and engaging in activities with them.
