Job Description

Experience in Learning disability health and social care. Must be able to work day and night shifts as per rotas

Must be able to do full time shift including night and day shift as per rotas.

The perfect candidate will have -

Previously completed and have experience of using restraint training, such as Maybo

Have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar service

Completed other mandatory training

Role-specific Duties:

The Senior Carer's responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Ensure service users are at the heart of the care delivery and their wishes and preferences enhance their wellbeing

To supervise staff and ensure that all staff contribute to the efficient running of the service Be responsible for promoting and protecting the welfare of those individuals supported by the service
.Develop effective working relationships with other employees within the service

Work in cooperation with members of multidisciplinary teams to maximise opportunities for service users
Other Duties:

Other duties and responsibilities to be undertaken may include any (or all) of the items in the following list:

Seek opportunities for personal and professional growth I agree to adhere to all Infection Control Policy and Procedures and to ensure that I keep up to date with my scheduled Infection Control Training
Attend statutory training and any other training as directed by management

Qualifications:
-

Good English - written and verbal

Vocational qualification level 3 Health and Social Care

Supervisory or management qualification

- Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Compassionate and patient demeanour
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of individuals
