East Midlands Railway is looking for a

Team Organiser

to join our Assets & Facilities team, ensuring seamless coordination of operations and clerical tasks with an exceptional level of professionalism.

About the Role




As a Team Organiser, you will be the vital link between our internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders. You'll play a central role in keeping projects on track and supporting the day-to-day operations of the Assets & Facilities function -- from raising purchase orders to managing team meetings and coordinating payroll returns.

Key Responsibilities




Procurement & Finance Support:

Raise and manage purchase orders (POs) using EBIS. Track GRNs and resolve invoice matching queries. Maintain spending records across the Assets & Facilities budget. Raise invoice requests to Network Rail, DfT, and other stakeholders.


Administrative & Team Support:

Manage and update attendance, sickness, training, and annual leave records. Coordinate and submit weekly payroll returns and status updates for staff. Organise and minute key team meetings - from monthly stakeholder sessions to periodic SQR and technician catch-ups. Support confidential meetings with note-taking as required.


Logistics & Planning:

Book travel and overnight accommodation for the team. Assist with project-based documentation and data collation. Plan and support SST and Artisan team events.


We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will be highly organised and efficient, with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities without compromising on quality.


You will be a confident communicator, both written and verbal, capable of engaging effectively with colleagues, senior stakeholders, and external partners.


Strong technical skills are essential, including proficiency in Microsoft Office--particularly Excel and Power BI--and experience with procurement or finance systems such as EBIS. Familiarity with CAFM systems would be an advantage.
