We are seeking an experienced and motivated Tearoom
Cook
to join our busy tearoom kitchen. You will be working alongside another team member in a kitchen team of two, with support from front-of-house staff. This is a fast-paced environment where you will be expected to manage multiple tasks under pressure while delivering high-quality food. Key Responsibilities
:
prep and cook menu items, including sandwiches, breakfasts, quiches, baked potatoes,
Work efficiently to ensure food is prepared and delivered to customers quickly while maintaining high standards.
Keep a tidy, organized, and safe work area at all times.
Take part in kitchen porter tasks such as washing pots, cleaning, and maintaining kitchen hygiene standards.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth operations.
Adhere to food safety regulations and health guidelines.
Skills and Qualifications
:
Previous kitchen experience is required.
Ability to work at a fast pace and under pressure, especially during busy periods.
A passion for food preparation and baking.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness.
Ability to work well as part of a small team.
Flexibility to assist with various tasks, including kitchen porter duties.
Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
Working Hours & Days
:
The role requires a minimum of 15 hours per week, spread over three days. Days will be rota-based, and weekend work will be included. Overtime may be offered, depending on the needs of the business.
