At Devonvale Bakery, we're known for our flapjacks, cakes, and bars, supplying across foodservice and retail. We are now building the next chapter of our story -- expanding into modern, functional, and premium snacking products. As part of this journey, we're looking for a Quality & Technical Manager to lead food safety, technical standards, and daily quality control across our site.

What you'll be doing

Leading and managing all quality and technical systems across the site. Owning and developing our HACCP, internal audit, specification, and complaints systems. Acting as the key contact for customer audits, quality issues, and product specifications. Being present daily on the bakery floor, checking goods in/out and working closely with the production team. Supporting new product development and shelf-life validation testing. Playing a key role in preparing for future BRC accreditation. Developing your skills as the business grows, becoming a senior manager supporting the Operations Director as appropriate.
What we're looking for

Strong understanding of HACCP, food safety legislation, and QMS systems. Confident in working with customers and external auditors. Meticulous attention to detail, especially with specs, packaging, and labelling. Practical, solutions-focused, and comfortable being out on the factory floor. A leader and communicator who is comfortable taking ownership and using their initiative. Hands-on experience in food manufacturing would be ideal.
