Technical Sales Support Engineer (Mechanical Bias)

30,000 - 35,000 per annum

Milton Keynes (Fully Onsite)

Hours:

37.5 per week -- 08:30-16:45 Monday-Thursday, 08:30-15:30 Friday

The Role

Our client is seeking a Technical Sales Support Engineer with a mechanical bias to provide high-quality technical support to both customers and the internal sales team. This position focuses on supporting a wide range of automation and temperature-control products, contributing to commercial growth through training, product promotion, and technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver technical support to customers via phone and email Process requests for special product variations Analyse and report on product returns Contribute to new product development proposals Conduct market and competitor product analysis Support the sales team with customer visits and application development Manage product lifecycles including training, new product introductions, and discontinued product updates

Essential Skills, Education & Experience

Degree, HNC, or HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline Strong communication skills (phone and email) Logical, methodical problem-solver with excellent organisational skills and record-keeping Confident in presenting technical topics in person and via webinars Experience working in an engineering environment Practical hands-on testing and diagnostic experience Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines

Desirable Experience

Additional hands-on testing/diagnostic experience Exposure to automation systems or system design Previous work in Technical Sales Support or applications engineering
