We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of food safety and kitchen operations, along with a flair for meal preparation and food presentation. This role is essential in ensuring that our restaurant consistently delivers high-quality dishes that meet our guests' expectations.
Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure all food preparation areas are clean, organised, and compliant with food safety regulations.
Assist in the development of new menu items and seasonal specials.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist in ordering as necessary.
Maintain kitchen equipment and utensils, ensuring they are clean and in good working order.
Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety practices.
Experience
Previous experience as a Cook or in a similar culinary role is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and kitchen hygiene standards.
Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively within the kitchen team.
A passion for culinary arts and a desire to continually improve cooking skills.
