Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Tempura / Starter Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Pan-Asian food production and preparation, with the ability to lead and manage a team effectively. Responsibilities

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to foster a collaborative team environment. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, adhering to recipes and portion control guidelines. Manage food production processes, ensuring efficiency and compliance with health and safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment. Monitor inventory levels, assisting in ordering supplies as needed to maintain stock. Train new kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety practices, and operational procedures. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.

Requirements

Proven experience in a similar Chef role within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong culinary skills with a deep understanding of food preparation and cooking techniques. Previous supervisory or team management experience is essential. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene. Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and service. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. A passion for hospitality and creating memorable dining experiences for guests.
