We're recruiting
permanent Therapeutic Childcare Workers
to join welcoming and dedicated teams across residential children's homes in the Brighton area. You'll be supporting young people aged between 6 and 18 who have experienced significant trauma, abuse, neglect or disrupted early attachment.

What You'll Do:
Support children and young people through their daily routines -- from waking up to bedtime
Help them feel safe, build trust and form healthy relationships
Support emotional regulation and promote positive behaviour
Provide structure, consistency and kindness
Work closely with therapists, teachers, and senior carers to follow therapeutic care plans
Take part in fun activities, meals, school runs, and life-skills development
What You Bring:
Compassion, patience and emotional resilience
A positive attitude and calm, consistent presence
Willingness to learn and reflect
Ability to remain composed during challenging moments
A genuine passion for making a difference in children's lives
Youth work / Outreach work
Support work (mental health, SEN, autism, learning disabilities)
Healthcare / Care Assistant / Nursing Assistant
Prison / Probation / Secure unit work
Nursery, school or education support
Hospitality, retail or customer service (with the right values and people skills)
Personal lived experience caring for family members or loved ones
Full Training Provided:
Trauma-informed care
Safeguarding & child protection
Behaviour support and de-escalation
Therapeutic attachment models
Requirements: Must be 21+ (Ofsted regulation)
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply)
Right to work in the UK
Commitment to full-time shift work, including weekends and nights
