Motivated Minds provides practical solutions to support mental health and wellbeing and as the Therapeutic Lead, you will be working alongside an established team at the HAPPY Hub, in Basildon, Essex.
Your role will be to further develop and manage a fantastic team supporting our customer journey for living a happier and healthier life, empowering them to flourish. You will be able to adapt your working style and tailor programmes to fit the needs of adults, young people and children, as we are a lifelong wellbeing provider. Your responsibilities will include;
Work with and report to the Business Operations & Development Lead & Managing Director
Promote and develop the mental, emotional, physical and social wellbeing of our customers, volunteers and staff
Provide training to our staff and volunteer team
Line manage our Wellness Coaches and host regular customer reviews / supervision
Work with our SMT building relations with referral partners and promote the work of Motivated Minds
Listen to customer needs and develop programmes adopting various approaches
Manage referrals, assessments, customer journey and outcome data
Provide one to one and deliver group therapy
To use initiative and empathy to resolve queries this may involve customers/volunteers
Provide placements for trainee clinical and/or counselling psychologists, ensuring that trainees acquire the necessary skills, competences and experience to contribute to their studies.
To advocate, as necessary, on behalf of customers
Maintain confidential, accurate and up-to-date records, case file notes and computerised information, and other associated documentation
Work ethically and take responsibility
Contribute to unique customer driver non-profit organisation and build something to be proud of
To be successful in this role, you'll need
Level 4 or above qualification in Counselling, Psychotherapy, Clinical Psychology or equivalent
Accredited with BACP, UKCP or equivalent professional therapeutic body
Three years' experience in delivering group and one to one therapy
Enjoy working both independently and as part of a team with strong interpersonal skills
Excellent spoken and written English
Exceptional time management and organisational skills
Computer literacy
You will have an effective understanding of the range of psychodynamic, integrative, cognitive, cognitive behavioural and/or behavioural models of Human Behaviour and/or the Person.
You will have an effective understanding of the theoretical and research-based models of individual development across the lifespan, and within the cultural and social contexts prevailing
A good knowledge of the philosophical and theoretical bases of psychodynamic, integrative, CBT or other approach, their practical application to various client groups and their current empirical status
Comply with all Motivated Minds Policies/Procedures and performance standards
