The Support Worker plays a vital role in assisting and care for individuals, particularly those with disabilities or special needs. This position involves working closely with children and adults, offering support in daily activities, promoting independence, and enhancing the quality of life for those in your care. Responsibilities



Provide direct support to individuals with disabilities or special needs in their daily activities. Assist with personal care tasks, including hygiene, dressing, and medication administration. Implement individualised care plans tailored to the specific needs of each person. Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and skill development. Monitor and document progress and any changes in behaviour or health status. Collaborate with families, educators, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care. Maintain a safe and supportive environment for all clients.

Skills



Experience working with children is highly desirable. Knowledge of applied behaviour analysis techniques is beneficial. Familiarity with working alongside individuals with autism is an asset. Background in special education or related fields is advantageous. Experience supporting people with disabilities is preferred. Proficiency in medication administration and understanding of patient care protocols is essential. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and build rapport with clients and their families. This role requires dedication, patience, and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of others.
