We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused individual to take on a dual role within our team:

Hire Desk Controller

and

Small Tools Driver

. This position combines office-based administrative responsibilities with hands-on logistics and delivery work, offering variety and the chance to work in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

As Hire Desk Controller:

Handle incoming customer enquiries via phone, email, and in person. Process hires and off-hire requests efficiently and accurately. Liaise with the workshop to ensure equipment is available and ready for delivery. Maintain accurate hire records and use internal hire software to manage orders. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and suppliers. Support the operations team in scheduling deliveries and collections.

As Small Tools Driver:

Deliver and collect small tools and equipment to and from customer sites safely and on time. Load and unload equipment, ensuring it is secured and in good condition. Carry out basic checks and report any issues with tools or vehicles. Always represent the company professionally when on-site with customers. Maintain delivery logs and documentation as required.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a hire desk or customer service role preferred. Clean UK driving licence (Category B) essential. Knowledge of small tools and plant equipment an advantage. Strong organisational and communication skills. Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities. Basic computer literacy (training on hire software provided). Physically fit and capable of lifting/carrying equipment.
