We're looking for an experienced

Trade Counter Assistant

to join the team at

Advance Roofing Supplies in Bicester.

You'll work closely with trade and retail customers, providing great service at the counter, processing orders, handling enquiries, and supporting the smooth running of the branch. This is a hands-on role where teamwork, customer focus, and reliability really matter.

Key Responsibilities

Serve customers at the trade counter and provide excellent service Generate sales from new and existing customers Process orders, quotes, and enquiries accurately Manage stock displays and merchandising Liaise with suppliers about products and availability Assist with yard and warehouse duties when required

Salary: 32,000-34,000 per annum

Hours: 7am-5pm Mon-Fri, 7am-12pm alternate Saturdays

Holiday: 22 days per year plus Bank Holidays

Requirements:

Experience in roofing or builders' merchant sales (essential) Good product knowledge of roofing materials Proven ability to meet sales targets Valid forklift licence (or willingness to obtain one) Strong communication and customer-service skills Positive, hands-on attitude and a team-player approach Right to work in the UK
