TimberStore UK Ltd is looking to strengthen its team in Kingskerswell with an experienced

Trade Counter Salesperson

. This role is ideally suited to someone who has worked in a

timber merchant or builders' merchant environment

and understands the fast-paced, customer-focused nature of trade sales.

The Role:

Serving customers at the

trade counter

and over the phone, providing knowledgeable advice and excellent service Processing customer orders, handling

cash and card payments

, and ensuring accuracy at all times Picking timber and building materials and

assisting customers with vehicle loading

Checking incoming deliveries and

putting stock away correctly

Picking orders for deliveries and preparing them for dispatch Making customer deliveries when required Maintaining a tidy, safe, and well-presented trade counter and shop area Carrying out general yard and warehouse duties as needed
This role involves regular manual handling and heavy lifting.

About You:

Previous experience in a

timber merchant, builders' merchant, or similar trade environment

Confident dealing with trade customers and understanding their needs Strong communication and customer service skills Reliable, hands-on, and happy to get stuck in as part of a team A positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn and develop product knowledge
Working Hours:

Monday to Friday:

8:00am - 5:00pm

Alternate Saturdays:

8:00am - 12:00pm

Bank Holidays:

Closed

Salary:

Competitive and dependent on skills and experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 28,325.00 per year
