Join our

Trading Standards Team

and play a crucial role in protecting consumers while supporting businesses. We are looking for a

Trading Standards Officer

to conduct inspections, investigate complaints, and enforce trading standards legislation to ensure fair and safe trading practices.



Your role will be key in safeguarding consumers and ensuring business compliance by enforcing the full range of trading standards legislation across communities in the County. It will include consumer safeguarding issues including scams and doorstep trading. The role will also cover metrology. You will help promote fair trading, uphold consumer rights, and help maintain trust in the marketplace, through routine business inspections including Weights and Measures, investigations, project work and provision of consumer and business advice.


Qualifications:




Trading Standards Officer:




Diploma in Trading Standards (DTS), Degree in Trading Standards (including Metrology), DCATS (including Metrology), or CTSI Trading Standards Practitioner Diploma.
