Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus. Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations. Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan menus and manage meal preparation efficiently. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in cooking techniques and food safety practices. Assist in the development of new recipes and menu items to enhance the dining experience. Provide excellent service by ensuring that meals are presented attractively and served promptly.

Experience

Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, preferably in a restaurant setting. Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines. Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in meal preparation. Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, and serving is essential. A passion for creating high-quality dishes with attention to flavour, presentation, and detail. Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
