Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of food preparation and cooking in the kitchen.
Develop and design innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with health regulations.
Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service delivery.
Manage inventory, ordering supplies as needed while minimising waste.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, promoting professional development within the team.
Ensure consistency in food quality and presentation across all dishes served.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
Strong culinary skills with a deep understanding of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
Excellent leadership abilities with experience in team management and supervising staff.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Passion for food production with a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Strong communication skills, fostering positive relationships within the kitchen team and front-of-house staff.
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends as required by the restaurant's operational needs.
