Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation and culinary arts, with the ability to lead and supervise kitchen operations effectively. Duties

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to health and safety regulations. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and performance. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, maintaining consistency in taste and presentation. Manage food production processes, including inventory control, portioning, and waste management. Collaborate with the management team to develop seasonal menus that reflect current culinary trends. Ensure that all kitchen equipment is maintained in good working order and report any issues promptly. Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and kitchen procedures. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area.

Experience

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation methods, and kitchen management practices. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and quality control. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of service. A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes is highly desirable.
