Overview

We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic trainee Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion in culinary arts and a genuine love for food preparation and production. As a trainee Chef, you will play a vital role in creating exceptional dining experiences while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. You will be responsible for managing kitchen operations, leading a team, and delivering innovative dishes that reflect our commitment to hospitality.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and service. Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with menu specifications. Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards. Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new recipes and menu items. Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste. Train, mentor new kitchen staff to enhance their culinary skills. Ensure the kitchen is well-organised, clean, and equipped for optimal performance. Assist in maintaining budgetary guidelines while achieving culinary excellence.

Experience

Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices. Demonstrated ability in working in a team and have effective communication within the kitchen. Willingness to learn in various cooking techniques and styles of cuisine. Some experience with food preparation methods and kitchen equipment operation is preferred but not essential

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.50-15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 39 per week
