Responsibilities

Supervise kitchen staff and manage daily operations to ensure efficient food production. Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards. Maintain high levels of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations. Collaborate with the management team to develop innovative menu items that reflect current culinary trends. Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment and encouraging professional growth. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed to maintain optimal stock levels. Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest quality standards before serving to guests. Handle any customer feedback or complaints regarding food quality or service effectively.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant setting. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team. Comprehensive knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen operations. Excellent cooking skills with a passion for creating high-quality dishes. Previous experience in food production, preparation, and serving is essential. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong organisational skills with the capability to multitask effectively in a busy environment. A culinary qualification or equivalent experience is preferred but not mandatory.
