Responsibilities

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards. Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and training as needed. Develop and design menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen at all times. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked. Conduct regular quality checks on food presentation and taste before serving. Foster a positive working environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration among staff.

Skills

Proven experience in a culinary role, preferably within a restaurant setting. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively. Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and presentation styles. Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations to ensure compliance in the kitchen. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in both cooking and presentation. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a calm demeanour in a busy environment. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and front-of-house staff. A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences to guests.
