Summary

We are seeking a Trainee Conveyancer to join our small team at Borlase & Co. Preferably the Applicant will have some legal academic training( CILEX or law degree ) or experience of working in a legal environment/ conveyancing team. Training will be provided.

Responsibilities

On-boarding new and existing clients Dealing with ID and anti money laundering source-of-funds checks Liaising with other solicitors and estate agents Carrying out Land Registry and general conveyancing searches Obtaining client replies to enquiries Dealing with client updates Completing SDLT returns Drafting contracts and transfers Registering property transactions at the Land Registry Reporting to Lenders/mortgage companies

Requirements

Preferably some legal academic training such as CILEX or a law degree, or experience of working within a conveyancing team or in a similar role in the legal sector. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously. Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines effectively. Proficiency in IT systems using Word, Excel and Outlook Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
