We're looking to hire a Trainee Design Engineer here at Vipond in East Kilbride. A key appointment in our continued growth and success we'll support you to become a fully qualified Fire Sprinkler Design Engineer.

Goals and Objectives:

To ensure the system designs are produced in high quality, in compliance with the relevant standard and within the necessary timescales. To develop, and maintain professional relationships with clients, partners, and subcontractors.

Responsibilities:

Assisting in the preparation of sprinkler system designs for a variety of applications Production of technical documentation, installation drawings and coordination models, primarily using AutoCAD. Production of hydraulic calculations. On-site surveying where necessary.

Qualifications:

Qualifications/ Experience/Knowledge: Minimum of a HNC in a CAD, design or construction related discipline. Must be proficient in AutoCAD. Experience of Revit would be an advantage. Competent with Microsoft Office software (must include Microsoft Word and Excel). Basic knowledge of construction or experience in the construction industry would be an advantage. Full UK driving license.
