The Role
We're looking for a
Trainee Design Engineer
with a keen interest in mechanical design and project engineering. You'll join a collaborative, office-based design team where you'll work on:
Creating detailed
3D CAD models and drawings
(Fusion, SolidWorks or similar)
Supporting concept development and mechanical design projects
Operating CNC machines (mini mill & router) - full training provided
Preparing project documentation, BOMs and liaising with suppliers
Exploring new ideas and contributing to solution development
You'll also have the chance to grow into an in-house
CNC specialist
and be involved in
project planning
-- giving you a variety of future development paths.
What We're Looking For
Skills & Attributes:
Organised, detail-oriented, and eager to learn
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Able to work independently and manage time effectively
Comfortable adapting to changing priorities
Passionate about engineering and creative problem-solving
Requirements:
BTEC (or similar) in Mechanical Design Engineering - completed or in progress
Experience with 3D CAD software (Fusion 360, SolidWorks, etc.)
Good IT skills (MS Office, databases)
Confident working with numbers and basic calculations
Salary & Benefits
22,000 - 27,000 per year
25 days annual holiday (Jan-Dec)
