A unique opportunity for someone to join our team as a Trainee Estimator. Ideal for someone looking for their first full-time job, or for someone looking to start their career in the construction industry.

This is a full-time, permanent, office based position in our Newbury Head Office.

Lloyd Davenport Ltd is a family owned company and has been operating for nearly 60 years. We have provided plastering and drylining services to the UK's top housebuilders in the Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Midlands regions, including Bellway, Taylor Wimpey, and Barratt Redrow.

We are looking to add another member to our Estimating team to help us achieve our expansion plans.

Full on-the-job training will be provided, so experience is not essential. The starting salary is negotiable, but will be based on any previous experience.

Training will mainly be conducted on a one-to-one basis and will be provided by one of our Senior Estimators.

The role will be varied whilst ongoing training is provided, as you will be expected to assist with various tasks. Initial duties will include:

Downloading new housing projects/tenders and organising the information within them

Using the relevant tender information to create a plot schedule

Analysing housetype drawings to create a housetype summary table

Using Conquest TakeOff software to measure housetypes

Working in a small team to ensure tender enquiries are completed and returned by their deadlines

. Analysing material prices and supplier quotations

General office duties to assist other members of staff within the Buying/Surveying/Credit Control Departments, when required

All candidates will be subject to a 12 month probation period. After completion of the probation period, there will be a regularly reviewed progression plan put in place for the successful candidate.

Pay: 22,000.00-24,000.00 per year
