Trainee Parts Advisor

to join our Basildon team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin or develop their career in the motor retail industry. Full training will be provided by our experienced Parts Team, along with ongoing mentoring, feedback, and regular appraisals.

About the Role

As a Trainee Parts Advisor, you will play a vital part in supporting both our Workshop Teams and customers by ensuring all parts requirements are met efficiently and professionally. You will learn how to use parts catalogues, stock systems, and dealership processes to deliver a high standard of service.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Workshop Team by identifying, locating, and supplying the correct parts using catalogues and computer systems. Assist customers with parts enquiries in person, over the phone, and online, ensuring exceptional service throughout. Maintain accurate stock levels by checking deliveries, updating records, and storing parts correctly. Pre-pick parts and accessories to ensure smooth workflow for workshop operations. Process customer payments for parts and accessories. Uphold high standards of organisation and accuracy within the Parts Department.

About You

We are looking for a driven individual who is passionate about delivering excellent service and building a successful career in the motor industry. You should demonstrate:

Strong communication skills Ability to remain calm and focused in a busy environment Good teamwork skills Confidence using computers and learning new systems Strong literacy and numeracy abilities Good organisational and planning skills Industry knowledge (advantageous but not essential)
Full training will be provided, so a positive attitude and willingness to learn are key.

Hours

Monday to Friday:

8:00 am - 6:00 pm

Saturdays:

8:00 am - 1:00 pm (on a rota)
