The overview of the Vehicle Damage Assessor is to be responsible for creating accurate repair assessments in line with published and current repair methodology also ensuring that they are fair and reasonable and fully justified. You must also have the ability to build and maintain positive and effective relationships with engineers, customers, colleagues and technicians. The successful candidate will be trained by the Vehicle Damage Assessors on site to become fully competent in vehicle damage assessing.
CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist the Vehicle Damage Assessor in creating accurate repair assessments and learn from them.
To become familiar with the Work Provider contracts
To develop and maintain positive working relationships with Work Providers and develop the ability to negotiate with engineers in a professional manner to achieve the best possible result
To liaise with Customers and keep them fully updated with regards to estimate creation and any subsequent changes in a professional and friendly manner
To attend training as required by your role to allow you to develop and maintain the necessary skills to create accurate repair estimates following recognized methodology ensuring them to be fair and reasonable
To attend training as required by your role to allow you to develop and maintain the ability to keep up to date with developments in structural, electric and safety related technologies
To ensure accurate notes are entered within the management systems to record all events within your control or that have been brought to your attention in relation to the claim or claim progression
Be able and willing to assist with the customer service and parts departments of the site.
Ensure administration is completed accurately and in a timely manner
Pro-active in identifying areas of improvement for the Company and its processes.
