Trainee / Junior Quantity Surveyor

Location: Petersfield & surrounding Hampshire sites

6A Vision Homes is a growing residential developer delivering high-quality homes across Hampshire. We are seeking a motivated Trainee / Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our team and support the commercial function across several small new-build housing schemes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their QS career who wants hands-on experience, clear progression, and exposure to the full lifecycle of residential development.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Commercial Manager / QS with measurement, take-offs and cost plans Support the procurement process: issuing enquiries, analysing quotes, preparing comparison sheets Help manage subcontractor packages and maintain procurement schedules Assist with preparing tenders, valuations, variations and payment recommendations Maintain accurate cost records and assist with monthly CVRs Review drawings, specifications and Bills of Quantities for accuracy Support site teams with commercial queries Help track material orders, delivery notes and invoices Contribute to overall project cost control, reporting and administration

Requirements

Studying or recently completed a QS or construction-related qualification (HNC/HND/Degree or similar) Strong numerical, analytical and organisational skills Good communication skills and a willingness to learn Confident with Microsoft Excel and general IT systems Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Full UK driving licence (some site travel required)
