Working Hours
: 8.30-5pm Monday - Friday, however flexible hours are expected on occasion with prior notice to support on evenings and weekends as the business requires.
Scope:
The training and recruitment manager will take the lead on recruitment, managing ongoing job advertising. The post holder will liaise with the service managers and book interviews in as and when candidates apply. One a candidate is successful, they will ensure that the DBS, references and right to work documents are compliant using our screening system to ensure that the candidates employment date is commencing as quickly and safely as possible. They will also be responsible for ensuring that any new and existing employees have completed their induction and mandatory training whilst supporting the service managers through staff training. They will take the lead on training and manage all training requirements. The post holder will ensure that positive relationships are maintained and developed with employees.
Accountabilities:

Managing a small recruitment team
Managing the services training matrix
Deliver face to face training and manage the online training
Send regular reports to the Managing Director
Ensure that all staff working within the service are compliant with training
Maintains overall responsibility for the appropriate selection of training and induction of staff at all levels within the company
Help to embed a coaching culture
Support our staff with field training as and when needed
Attend regular meetings
Creative outreach: connect with local organisations, job centres, colleges and host recruitment days

Be an active, engaged and supportive member of the management team, including regular attendance at meetings
Keep own learning and development up to date and attend training courses as required
Adhere to the staff code of conduct and be a positive ambassador for Quartz Care at all times
Undertake any other reasonable management requests
Prepare regular reports for the MD as required. Report on the process of training, training statistics.
Identify training opportunities for business growth dependent on client need
Support the overall growth of the company
Undertake any other reasonable duties
Knowledge:
Awareness of the needs of different people who require care and support at home
Detailed knowledge of the sector
Detailed knowledge and understanding of the training and safeguarding standards required by Quartz Care and CQC
Awareness of formal non-verbal communication methods
Knowledge of HR systems and processes including recruitment, disciplinary etc
Understanding of financial management in terms of planning, budgeting and monitoring of financial performance within budgets
Skills and experience:
Ability to use information, data and systems to monitor progress and identify key trends and themes
Experience of working within organisational policies and a regulated industry sector
Minimum of 2 years experience within training
Proven ability to develop individuals and teams
Proven experience in improving service quality
Experience of governance systems and structures including audits, training matrix's and providing detailed professional reports
Proven ability to develop and maintain good working relationships both internally and externally
The candidate must be prepared to undertake specialist training such as Train the Traner and any additional training to meet the needs of the business
