We are seeking a detail-oriented Transport and Asset Co-Ordinator to aid in and facilitate all transportation-related operations and asset management.
The Transport and Asset Co-Ordinator responsibilities include coordinating and managing all transport matters, ensuring compliance with regulations, control of material leaving the premises, organizing schedules and routes and support the Group Transport Manager.
Our ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, is able to multitask, and has a deep understanding of logistics and transport regulations.
Ultimately, the role of the Transport and Asset Co-Ordinator is to ensure all transport operations run smoothly and effectively to meet business requirements and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
These include but are not limited to the following:
Coordinate and store all PMI transport matters within the organization
Ensure compliance with company policies and transport regulations
Manage transport budgets and implement cost-saving measures
Prepare and present transport operational reports
Manage schedules and routes to ensure effective transport operations
Maintain transport databases and systems
Resolve issues or discrepancies in a timely manner
Ensure vehicle maintenance and safety measures are upheld
Coordinate with team members, suppliers, and clients for smooth operations
Ensure stock movements are recorded with 100% accuracy
Complete stock checks and liaise with Yard Management around discrepancies
Provide cover for the Group Transport Manager when absent from the business

Strong Administrative skills: Proficiency in record-keeping, data entry, and document management.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective liaison with drivers, customers, and other stakeholders.
Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues related to transport operations.
Computer Literacy: Proficiency in using relevant software and systems, such as ERP systems and transport management software.
Knowledge of Transport Regulations: Understanding of relevant regulations and standards related to road transport, haulage, and logistics.
Qualifications & Experience:
Communication - excellent in verbal, written and face to face communication
Always aim for 100% accuracy when dealing with customers
Has sound IT knowledge inclusive of Microsoft Word and Excel, accurate keyboard skills and strong attention to detail
Basic knowledge of a transport legislation though training will be given
Organized approach to your workload and ability to prioritise effectively
Positive attitude with everyone you deal with
Adaptable and can work with changing processes
