About Us:

Phoenix Environmental is a fast-growing, specialist waste management company providing compliant and professional hazardous and offensive waste collections across the UK. We operate a diverse fleet including 3.5-tonne vans, RCVs, hook loaders, and artic lorries. As we expand, we're seeking a highly capable and experienced Transport Manager to lead our multi-site logistics operations.

Role Overview:

You will be responsible for holding our Operator's Licence, managing day-to-day transport operations, routing, and ensuring full compliance and efficiency across our three depots. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will play a key leadership role in developing our transport strategy and driving continuous improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

Named holder of the company's O Licence (CPC National or International required) Route planning and scheduling across all sites for optimal fleet efficiency Manage and support drivers across all locations Oversee fleet maintenance, compliance checks, inspections and audits Ensure compliance with driver hours, WTD, and all DVSA requirements Deliver consistent reporting and KPIs to management Improve systems, processes and cost efficiency across the fleet

Who We're Looking For:

Proven experience managing multi-site transport operations CPC holder with a solid understanding of O Licence compliance Assertive, well-organised, and solutions-focused with strong leadership skills "Yes-can-do" attitude and confidence to drive operational improvements Strong communicator who thrives under pressure

Pay: 40,000.00-45,000.00 per year
