Transport Manager

Salary: 35,000 - 42,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Company Overview:

AA Express Logistics Ltd is a dynamic and fast-growing logistics company offering urgent last-mile delivery, freight forwarding, and courier services across the UK. We are now expanding our leadership team and seeking a skilled Transport Manager to oversee and optimise our transport operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead daily transport and delivery operations including route planning, scheduling, and driver management Ensure full compliance with UK transport regulations and internal procedures Manage vehicle maintenance schedules, fuel tracking, and safety checks Maintain accurate transport and delivery documentation (delivery notes, CoDs, logs) Collaborate with clients, drivers, and suppliers to ensure high service standards Prepare and present operational reports to senior management Support recruitment and training of transport personnel
Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree (Level 6 or equivalent) in logistics, supply chain, business management, or a related field Minimum of 2 years of experience in a transport/logistics supervisory or managerial role Strong understanding of UK transport legislation and health & safety standards Excellent leadership, communication, and IT skills
Desirable:

CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) is advantageous Previous experience in urgent/same-day courier services UK driving licence preferred
