Transport Planner

to join our Supply Chain team at our

Kidderminster

site.

The Role

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for the

planning and coordination of all transport operations

, ensuring high levels of customer service while maintaining cost-effective and efficient delivery solutions.

This is a varied role covering

Midlands, distance, and Irish transport planning

, working closely with Sales, Production, Despatch, and external hauliers.

Key Responsibilities

Develop daily transport plans in collaboration with Sales and Production Liaise with the despatch team to execute loading plans effectively Manage third-party hauliers, customer collections, and material movements Monitor delivery performance and proactively resolve any issues Maintain strong working relationships with hauliers and suppliers Oversee consignment stock movements and pallet returns Implement and manage satellite tracking systems Handle transport administration, including delivery notes, load sheets, and picking tickets Plan and coordinate all Irish transport operations Carry out driver inductions, training, and maintain Opus records Support H&S audits related to transport operations

About You

Transport planning experience preferred

ideally within a logistics, manufacturing, or distribution environment Strong

UK geographical knowledge

Good understanding of

UK haulage regulations and loading processes

Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to prioritise effectively Confident communicator with the ability to work cross-functionally Problem-solver with a proactive and tenacious approach

Hours of Work

Monday - Thursday:

08:30 - 17:00

Friday:

08:30 - 15:15 Periodically, one week of

09:30 - 18:00
