Who We Are

We cover everything in haulage from Hiab hire to low loaders, flatbeds and site work across construction, engineering, utilities, and infrastructure.

What we're known for is doing it properly. Safety, compliance and reliability aren't just words we stick on the website, they're how we work. Every job is planned, checked and delivered with care, whether it's a local lift or a nationwide move.

We've built a reputation for being organised, safe, and easy to deal with. We plan properly, we stay compliant, and when a job needs sorting, we don't overcomplicate it we just get on and make it happen.

The pace is quick and things can change by the hour, but the team here know their stuff and support each other to get it done. If you like working in a place where people take pride in their work and mean what they say, you'll fit right in.

The Role

This role brings together planning, compliance and coordination. You'll plan the fleet, stay ahead of the legal bits and make sure everything runs smoothly between the office, the drivers and the customers.

You'll keep an eye on the details, which truck's where, who's driving, what needs servicing and what's next. When things get busy, you'll stay calm and focused. When there's breathing space, you'll use it to strengthen relationships and find new opportunities.

It's a role for someone who enjoys staying organised, taking responsibility and seeing the direct results of their effort.

What You'll Be Doing

Operational Planning & Scheduling

Plan and coordinate daily transport operations for Hiabs, low-loaders, and abnormal loads. Manage route planning, movement orders, and legal compliance for oversized and abnormal loads (we will provide ongoing training and development for this) Allocate drivers and vehicles each day, ensuring compliance with working time directives and driver hours regulations. Schedule and track vehicle maintenance with main dealers and organise breakdown response when required. Ensure all vehicles and drivers are correctly assigned and avoiding overuse. Support the business during quieter periods by using great phone manner to build our ever growing client base across multiple sectors.
Compliance & Safety Oversight

Liaise with the appointed person for contract lifting to ensure safe and compliant coordination between lifting and transport operations
Driver & Team Coordination

Act as the first point of contact between management and drivers (resolving day-to-day issues and queries) Support lead drivers with gate checks, inspections, and compliance audits. Conduct or assist with driver interviews when new team members are required. Promote a strong communication culture within the team, encouraging accountability, professionalism, and a "can-do" attitude. Uphold company standards for punctuality, behaviour, and safety.
Customer & Partner Relationships

Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers and subcontractors. Confidently handle phone-based sales and scheduling conversations (not just email communication). Proactively source new clients and industries. Maintain consistent, high-quality customer service that supports client retention and repeat work. Represent AR Banks professionally in all interactions with customers and suppliers.
Administrative & Reporting Duties

Update and maintain driver and vehicle tracking spreadsheets daily. Keep internal databases and compliance trackers current with accurate information Produce reports on vehicle utilisation, driver allocation, and compliance activity when requested. Support management with administrative follow-up after audits, investigations, or customer incidents.
Continuous Improvement

Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, communication, and efficiency. Take ownership of decisions within the role, learning from outcomes rather than avoiding responsibility. Participate in professional development activities such as OLAT or compliance-related training. Contribute to a positive office environment. Be part of a team that is practical, supportive and focused on getting the job done safely and efficiently.

Who You Are

You've spent time around trucks and understand what it takes to keep them moving. Maybe you've driven before, or maybe you've worked in a transport office where you were the one keeping everything straight.

You're practical, organised and confident talking to people. You like being trusted to get on with things and take satisfaction in a day that runs as it should. You can handle pressure without panic and stay balanced when the day changes shape.

You'll fit here if you:
