Transport & Logistics Planner

Position Overview:

As Planner and after basic training you will be charged with logistics plans for the company and ensuring efficiency. Maintain 100% delivery as per customer expectations using our own fleet of 60 trailers and 25 Units with some support from other Transporters. Ability to work in pressured environment and good communication skills essential.
Responsibilities:

Learning the use of specially developed software systems at the company. Eventually be able to Produce the deliveries plan taking into consideration production capacity & deliveries. Liaise with the production management team daily and maintain to ensure availability of customer jobs. Communicate with the management team daily, liaising directly with drivers & customers. Ensure customer requirements are met and maintain stock accuracy. Must have can-do attitude.
Key Skill Requirements:

Full understanding of Tachograph, working time and driver hour's legislation. Good geographical knowledge. Good oral communication, interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to take a confident and diplomatic approach with staff, colleagues and customers. Prioritize and work well under pressure, making key decisions. Numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data/information. Proactive, innovative and creative approach to problem solving. A minimum of three years transport operations experience with strong organizational skills will be nice.

Salary/Rate: 30,000-35,000 per/annum depending on experience.
